Reflection of light

Reflection of light is a phenomenon that occurs when a beam of light strikes a surface and changes direction. It is one of the fundamental concepts of optics, which is the study of the behavior and properties of light. When light strikes a surface, it can be absorbed, transmitted or reflected. If the surface is reflective, then some or all of the light will be reflected. The angle at which the light strikes the surface is known as the angle of incidence, and the angle at which it is reflected is known as the angle of reflection. The angle of incidence is always equal to the angle of reflection. This principle is known as the law of reflection, which is a basic law of optics. The law of reflection applies to all types of surfaces, whether they are smooth or rough, opaque or transparent. The angle of incidence and the angle of reflection are always measured with respect to a line perpendicular to the surface, which is known as the normal. The behavior of light during reflection can be d...
